Erosion and Sediment Control


EDI has extensive experience in the planning and implementation of erosion and sediment control procedures.

Erosion and sediment control services provided by EDI include:

  • Development of comprehensive Erosion and Sediment Control Plans for all forms of land development activities, including significant mining, subdivision and linear development projects
  • Design and implementation of sediment control structures
  • Hydroseeding, using bonded fibre matrix or wood mulch, around environmentally sensitive areas such as stream banks and stream crossing sites (300 gal pickup-mounted hydroseeder)
  • Bioengineering techniques to revegetate and stabilize disturbed sites, resulting in an accelerated rate of revegetation
  • Industry Training for Erosion and Sediment Control Best Management Practices

    EDI and staff are affiliated with the International Erosion Control Association (IECA) and CPESC, Inc., an international organization that certifies professionals in erosion and sediment control.
