Robert J. (Bob) Redden, R.P.Bio., A.Sc.T., CPESC, President (Prince George)

Bob is an owner and the President of EDI Environmental Dynamics Inc, with over 15 years of experience in fisheries/wildlife biology, ecology, planning, erosion and sediment control, environmental monitoring and project management. He has conducted environmental projects throughout BC, Alberta and Yukon in remote wilderness and urban settings. He has a significant amount of experience working in all major sectors such as oil and gas, transportation, mining, forestry, government and urban development. Bob is focused on providing clients with exceptional service, a practical project approach and high quality products; this focus is extended throughout EDI. He is a Registered Professional Biologist (BC), Applied Science Technologist and Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC).

Robert Van Schubert, R.P.Bio., Vice President/Senior Fisheries Biologist (Prince George)

Rob Van Schubert is an owner and Vice President of EDI. He has been a member of the Association of Professional Biologists of BC since 1999 and a member of the College of Applied Biology since its inception in 2002. Rob has conducted numerous Fish and Fish Habitat Inventories throughout northern BC, and has been responsible for data entry, quality control, and mapping of fisheries inventory data collected by EDI. After receiving his professional biologist designation, he performed a number of field and reporting phase QA/QC audits on 1:20,000 fisheries inventories. More recently, he has conducted audit reviews of the FHAT20 model results for various watersheds in the Prince George Forest District. Rob has worked on hundreds of fisheries projects throughout the north and has a very high skill set working with fish species from the Pacific and Arctic watersheds.

Mr. Pat Tobler, R.P.Bio. (BC), CPESC, Vice President / Branch Manager (Whitehorse)

Pat Tobler is an owner and Vice President of EDI. He is a Professional Biologist (BC College of Applied Biology) and a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control with over fourteen years of natural resource experience. Pat has been Branch Manager of the Yukon office of EDI since 2000. Pat has managed over 200 natural resource projects in the Yukon and northern BC for private and public sector clients. Projects include baseline inventories, various research projects, terrestrial and aquatic effects studies and restoration/reclamation projects. Pat has also completed many fisheries assessments, developed compensation/mitigation plans, environmental management plans and completed environmental monitoring for development and construction projects throughout BC and the Yukon.

Jason Yarmish, R.P.Bio., Senior Biologist (Prince George)

Jason Yarmish has been a member of the College of Applied Biology and Association of Professional Biologists of British Columbia since 2005. He is a highly experienced biologist with over ten years of experience in fisheries and wildlife biology, environmental management, environmental monitoring and project management. Jason has been extensively involved in the environmental management and monitoring components of many large-scale construction projects throughout BC and Alberta, and Mr. Yarmish’s experience also includes large-scale fisheries inventories, in-stream habitat restoration, angler creel census, spawning salmon enumeration, water quality monitoring, stock assessment (burbot and white sturgeon), and wildlife research.

Cathy Mackay, R.P.Bio., M.Sc., Senior Biologist (Prince George)

Cathy Mackay is a Professional Biologist (BC College of Applied Biology) with over eight years professional experience working in Natural Resource Science. She has worked on numerous wildlife and fisheries projects, including risk analyses, fisheries inventories, habitat assessments, population inventories, habitat mapping and modeling. Cathy’s diverse skill set also includes significant experience invertebrate ecology, invasive plant management and project management.

Michael Setterington, R.P.Bio, M.Sc., Senior Biologist (Whitehorse)

Michael Setterington is a terrestrial biologist with more than 10 years experience in biophysical studies and impact assessment in eastern, western, and northern Canada. He has worked in the private sector with forestry, oil and gas, and power companies, and First Nations. Projects include terrestrial wildlife evaluation, pipeline alignment assessment, habitat evaluation and modeling, forest bird research and sustainable forest management planning, and inventory methods training. His work with government included impact assessment regulation for mine and road development, raptor research, ecological monitoring, Geographic Information System (GIS) database management and development, and he was the voting member for Nunavut on the Committee on the Status of Endangered Wildlife in Canada (COSEWIC). Mike is a Registered Professional Biologist (R.P.Bio.) with the College of Applied Biology in British Columbia, and a Certified Wildlife Biologist (CWB) with the Wildlife Society in Maryland USA.

Don Albright, P. Biol., R.P. Bio., M.Sc. Senior Biologist/Branch Manager (Grande Prairie)

Don Albright is a Registered Professional Biologist in Alberta and British Columbia, and is the Branch Manager of EDI’s Grande Prairie office. Don has been active in environmental research and direct management activities since 1989. He has worked in various regions across Canada, including all three sea coasts, on a wide variety of species and problems. These undertakings have included work on ungulates, marine mammals, fish, and invertebrates, as well as vegetation surveys for habitat assessment and forestry, and archaeology. Don’s multidisciplinary knowledge base and varied work experience allows him to be flexible, adaptable and capable in field work, data analysis, report writing, literature reviews, archival research and project management.

Isaac Anderton, R.P. Bio., B.Sc., Dipl. Tech., Biologist (Whitehorse)

Isaac Anderton is a Registered Professional Biologist with the B.C. College of Applied Biology with over seven years of experience in the environmental field, including extensive fisheries research, renewable resource management, management planning, and community capacity development. Isaac joined EDI in 2004, and has since worked in various capacities, but most extensively on all aspects of conducting fisheries research. The majority of Isaac’s work, both with EDI and prior, has been conducted for, or in association with, Yukon First Nation Governments. Isaac has extensive experience working and living in remote northern communities, as well as coordinating projects in isolated and remote environments.
