Health and Safety Policy

EDI is committed to providing a safe work environment. To this end EDI has developed a health and safety program which will protect our staff, property, all worksites, subcontractors, clients, the general public, and the environment. Employees at every level are responsible and accountable for EDI’s health and safety performance. Active participation by everyone, every day, on every project is required to achieve this goal.

EDI will hold all levels of management accountable for providing a safe work environment and enforcing safe work practices and safe job procedures. We will also ensure timely follow-up to safety incidents.

EDI will hold all employees accountable for following safe work practices and safe job procedures, and reporting all unsafe conditions and safety incidents and accidents.

All employees are encouraged to contribute to the company health and safety program.

Employee cooperation and compliance with the health and safety program is a condition of employment at EDI.

EDI is committed to compliance with any and all government agencies, regulations, and industry best management practices and will use audits to measure and improve our health and safety program.

This document describes the safety procedures that are to be followed by EDI personnel at all EDI facilities and during all fieldwork. This document was formally adopted in June 2000. Subsequent revisions have been completed in April 2002, February 2006 and April 2007.
